Application
2 PS/2 ports via USB
This USB-PS/2 adapter (model S26391-F5100-V100) is a converter that offers very broad compatibility. Two PS/2 devices are supported simultaneously: PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard. Cooperation with switch boxes (KVM switch, CPU switch) is also possible without any problems. The adapter does not require an external power supply and can be used on any computer (PC, SUN, Apple Mac, notebook) with a USB port.
Green = PS/2 mouse
The PS/2 mouse is connected to the green PS/2 socket on the adapter. The colour coding of the sockets corresponds to the PC99 standard (see en.wikipedia.org under "PC System Design Guide"). In addition to the colour coding, the 2 ports are also identified by symbols on the adapter (see illustration).
Purple = PS/2 keyboard
Connect the PS/2 keyboard to the purple-coloured PS/2 socket (colour coding PC99 standard).
No driver installation
Drivers do not need to be installed. You do not need any software, i.e. real "plug & play". The USB-PS/2 adapter is the best and most reliable model we know and we have tested it intensively for a very long time.
